Cynthia H Betsher, CFP®, CEBS

In 1999, Cynthia founded and became the managing partner of Employee Benefit Option, LLP (doing business as Financial Partners Group) in Hunt Valley, Maryland.  Cynthia believed that there was a tremendous need for individualized financial, investment, and insurance consulting services for both 401(k) plan Trustees and individual plan participants.  Their goal was to assist them in designing and funding investments and/or insurance to meet their changing financial and retirement needs with a fiduciary standard of care.   Cynthia began her investment career 1984 when she worked for the mutual fund family of T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, Maryland.  After leaving T. Rowe Price, she worked eight years for Pollard & Associates, a well-respected, pension consulting firm.  These years formed the foundation for her to secure her CEBS designation and the rigorous CFP® designation and later to provide retirement plan services.  Cynthia particularly enjoys presenting investment concepts through storytelling and the use of analogies with the goal of making investing and retirement planning easy and understandable for those people who are insecure about these topics.
